Bystronic has introduced the Xact Smart 160 press brake, featuring simplified setup and programming.
Bysoft 7 software integrates the press brake into the user’s production environment. The machine incorporates the ByVision bending control system, which uses a 22-in. HD touchscreen interface to display 3-D part animations and software-driven menu selections to guide operators through the step-by-step bending processes and in selecting bend sequences automatically.
Models are available with capacities from 100 to 225 tons and with up to four axes on the backgauge; depending on the combination, this enables the processing of simple angles through complex bent parts.
The press brake can handle fast job changes, or it can be used as a fixed bending station. Standard active hydraulic crowning capabilities deliver accurate bend angles across the entire bed length, states the manufacturer.
