Piyush Goyal, India''s Minister of Commerce, announced that India is going to sign a mini free trade agreement (FTA) with Australia within the next 30 days.
According to Piyush Goyal, he is pretty confident that enterprises in both countries could be encouraged and gain benefits by the signing of this FTA.
Australia’s Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Dan Tehan, also said that the effort of 30 days could bring something that really matters in history. Currently, 75% of the total Australian trading is covered by FTA, while the new FTA with India could possibly make it 90%.
