German Saarstahl to launch new billet continuous casting plant by end 2019-The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

Saarstahl, a leading long product manufacturers in Germany, said on February 20th that it will launch its new five-strand billet continuous casting plant at the site in Völklingen by the end of 2019.
This new continuous casting plant will replace the old plant which was disused in 2010, and it owned 4 continuous casting systems that could cast billet from crude steel.
Although it was understood that this new plant won’t raise the production, it could produce spring steel, cold heading steel wire and free-cutting steel used in automotive industry and mechanical engineering with a new technology.
