WSA: Global steel production rises by 4.7% in Jan-Oct -The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

According to World Steel Association''s data, the global steel production reached 1.5 billion tons roughly during the first 10 months of 2018, an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period of last year.
China and India were the first two biggest steel producers in the world, producing around 780 million tons and 88.4 million tons respectively during the first 10 months of this year; the output increased by 6.4% and 5.5% respectively.
The steel production in Latin America reached around 54.9 million tons during this period, an increase of 2.7% year-on-year. Brazil was the leader in the region, producing 29.2 million tons roughly, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year.
