EU's steel supply surplus slows; outlook still not optimistic-The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

According to the Standard & Poor(S&P), the supply and demand of the EU’s steel industry would gradually become more balanced, and slowed down the disorder which caused by the expansion of the trade deficit in 2018.
According to the data from World Steel Association(WSA), the EU’s crude steel production in the first quarter was not as good as other nations in the world. The global steel production increased by 4%, but EU’s production accounted for only 0.9%, which was around 43 million tons.
Although the trade deficit decreased, the situation was still not optimistic. Moreover, potential resistance remained existing in the market, and the US'' tariff would redirect steel production to Europe.
