Steel Strips Wheels bags EU export order for 7,500 steel wheels-The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

Automotive wheel manufacturer, Steel Strips Wheels Limited (SSWL) announced that it has bagged an exports order for 7,500 wheels for the European Union (EU) caravan market. The wheels will be shipped from company’s Chennai plant from March 2018 itself.
SSWL recently (February 2018) commissioned additional capacity of 1.2mn at its Chennai truck wheel plant. This resulted in total truck wheel capacity for SSWL to 3mn wheels, making SSWL the largest truck wheel maker in India. The plant is operating at 90% utilization for the month of February and expected to attain 100% utilization from April 2018 onwards with firm order book from domestic and export customers. The plant will supply to customers in South India and export customers (through Chennai port).
