WSA: Global steel demand grows to moderate in 2018-The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

According to the report, World Steel Association (WSA) recently announced that the global steel demand reached about 16.221 million tons in 2017 and they predicted the global steel demand will reach about 16.481 million tons in 2018.
Mr T.V. Narendran, as the Chairman of the WSA marketing research committee indicated that the steel market performed better than the prediction this year, but the steel market of the region of the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey still remain recession.
The WSA forecasted that the global steel demand grows to moderate in 2018 due to China’s steel demand decrease and the rest of the world steel demand continue to maintain the current situation.
