Samco Machinery has introduced a continuous bridge deck roll forming line with a postcut operation. Four profiles—2, 2.5, 3, and 4 in.—are roll formed, end formed in the press, and cut to length. Rafted tops (cassettes) with quick-coupling disconnects provide quick changeovers from one profile to another.
The line features a 20K single-ended uncoiler with coil car, hydraulically powered, driven with mandrel expansion. The hydraulically powered up/down threading table assists in threading raw materials into the system. The length control system helps operators set the length and quantity.
The 28-pass rafted roll former features a gearbox drive at every station. The stationary hydraulic cutoff press is suitable for stop-and-go cut and form operations. The 20-ft., nonpowered runout roller exit conveyor pushes completed parts out.
