The updated 71st World Foundry Congress website - www.71stwfc.com – is now live.
The site will contain all the information about the technical and social programme and the various opportunities for taking part in this premier international technical event to be held in the city of Bilbao (Spain), between 19 and 21 May 2014.
The new website will appeal to companies from the metal casting and metal mechanical industries among others, as it offers detailed information regarding the main sponsors of the event, sponsorship options and the possibility of booking a stand in the International Foundry Exhibition.
Professionals, technicians and researchers interested in taking part in the congress will be able to register through the new tool, and authors whose abstracts have been approved will submit their final work through the website.
Users and visitors can access the provisional at-a-glance programme, as well as full details about the technical sessions, committees, public bodies and companies involved as organisers, industrial visits and media partners. There will also be in-depth information on accommodation, the city of Bilbao and the congress venue.
The page, which includes the new image of the congress, is available in English, Spanish and Basque, and has been designed to make navigation easy for the user.
The website will make the congress even more accessible, and will work alongside other communication tools already in place such as media partnes, social media profiles, (Facebook, LinkedIn, Vimeo and Youtube), and a blog.
More than two hundred abstracts and posters received
The Scientific Committee of the 71st World Foundry Congress has highlighted the quality, innovation, technology and variety of the 250+ abstracts and posters submitted by professionals from over 30 countries during the first stage of the official call for papers of this international technical event.
Authors will be notified of definitive paper approval before 31 January 2014. Innovation, impact, practical applicability and originality are just some of the concepts included in the evaluation guidelines on which the scientific committee will base their decisions.
