AISI: Section 232 action helps to solve global steel overcapacity issues-The 19th Guangzhou Die-casting, Foundry & Industry Furnace Exhibition

According to the statements from American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the tariffs and investigation on steel imports which the US launched could help to solve the global steel overcapacity issues.
Based on the meeting results from AISI and the American Steel Manufacturers Association, a forum was set up by the G20 and OECD countries in the end of 2016 which related to global steel excess capacity problems. And there were some measures such as the industry subsidy and the government supports to solve the overcapacity issues.
Steel Dynamics Inc. thought that it could not solve the overcapacity problems although it might have attracted more nations’ attentions on those issues. Yet it was still a good try at steel excess capacity problems.
