Czech AMO plans to raise crude steel production in 2018-The 19th Guangzhou Die-casting, Foundry & Industry Furnace Exhibition

ArcelorMittal Ostrava (AMO), the largest steelmaker in the Czech Republic, planned to produce 2.3 million tons of crude steel in 2018, up by 500,000 tons from last year.
The production of crude steel was low because the No. 2 blast furnace with the annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons was under repair last year. With the production from another No. 3 blast furnace with the annual production capacity of 1.05 million tons, the production of crude steel from the two blast furnaces would increase significantly this year.
AMO''s crude steel production was 1.8 million tons last year, accounting for 40% of the Czech steel industries’ total production.
