Fabricator and stamper Defiance Metal Products’ Heber Springs, Ark., plant has received Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification – Bronze Level. SQEP Bronze Level requirements include quality PPM less than 400, on-time PPAP more than 90 percent, and shipping performance greater than 95 percent in 9 of 12 months before the award.
The certification recognizes suppliers that have continuously demonstrated excellent quality.
The plant also received the Seven Steps to Weld Excellence (7SWE) certification from Caterpillar Global Purchasing for the fifth consecutive year. The award criteria incorporate Caterpillar’s best practices to ensure weld performance and process quality zero-defect mindset.
