Vietnam’s steel imports rise from China in 2015-The 17th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition

Vietnam Steel Association data showed that 2015 Vietnam imported 19.83 million tons of steel, including finished products and semi-finished steel. The imports rose by 27% year on year, the imports amounted to US$90.46 billion. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s steel imports from China, accounted 52% of its total imports.
Vietnam Steel Association believes that 2016 Vietnam steel industry will continue to suffer the competition from cheap Chinese steel products, not only in the domestic market, but also Vietnam’s steel enterprises in Cambodia, Laos and other markets also faced strong competition of cheap steel products in China.
