Turkey iron and steel exporters Association (CIB) in 2015, Turkey steel industry still faces many challenges, including the declining of steel prices, one of the most important export market in the Middle East and North Africa regional remained uncertainty.
In 2015, Turkey exported 7.2 million tons of steel, mainly for construction steel, followed by 1.8 million tons of wire rod, hot-rolled plates of 1.7 million tons.
CIB said that 2016 main objective is to increase production and exports, as well as the industry''s global competitiveness. The exports are expected to increase by 2% to 16.4 million tons this year
