Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has shipped the first of four orders for new straightener/reel combinations to Metal Flow, Holland, Mich., a provider of deep-drawn stamped components to the automotive industry.
Each of the sets consists of a model 350, 18-in. power straightener and a heavy-duty 18-in. coil reel with 8,000-lb. capacity. The straighteners can handle steel with 40,000-PSI yield from 0.030 to 0.250 in. thick, depending on the width of the coil stock. The payoff rate is up to 95 FPM.
Two of the sets are being used to replace existing equipment and two will be paired with new press line.
