Direct Metals, an international steel service center with locations in Kennesaw, Ga., and Waukegan, Ill., has provided custom aluminum perforated metal in the construction of the Tunica Riverpark & Museum in Tunica, Miss.
The company supplied 0.125-in.-thick aluminum perforated metal in three different perforation patterns for the front façade of the building. One-third of the job had 0.75-in.-dia. holes, another third had 1-in.-dia. holes, and the remainder was supplied with a 1.25-in.-dia. holes.
The aluminum perforated metal was fastened to a curved, galvanized steel tubing frame. The building includes a 2,100-sq.-ft. lobby, an observation platform that overlooks the river, an aquarium with four large marine exhibits, and indoor and outdoor space for meetings and events.
