JSW Steel acquires 50% stake In Vallabh Tinplate--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition

India’s JSW Steel has announced to acquire 50% stake in Punjab-based Vallabh Tinplate Pvt Ltd (VTPL) for about Rs 46 crore.
The deal will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, the company will acquire 26% stake in VTPL immediately and shall increase its stake to 50% in due course.
JSW Steel is entering into growing tinplate business in the country. VTPL has annual capacity of 60,000 tons tinplate manufacturing facility. JSW Steel, the leading domestic steel manufacturer, is capable of producing 14.3 million tons per year.
