MMK's crude steel output down in 2013--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition

MMK in Russia announced that its output of crude steel in the fourth quarter of 2013 totaled 2.91 million tons, up by 1.4% on the third quarter of 2013 while the output of the whole year totaled 11.9 million tons, down by 8.4% on 2012.
MMK produced 2.72 million tons of steel products in the fourth quarter of 2013, up by 3.1% on the third quarter of 2013 while it produced 11.06 million tons of steel products in 2013, down by 7.9% on 2012.
In the fourth quarter of 2013, MMK produced 1.31 million tons of high-added-value products of, up by 3% on the third quarter, accounting for 48.5% of the total output. The output of high-added-value product in 2013 totaled 5.33 million tons, up by 9.3% on 2012.
In addition, MMK produced 9.58 million tons, 1.81 million tons and 4.64 million tons of cast iron, long product and plate product, in 2013 respectively. MMK said that with the rebound of the foreign market in the first quarter of 2014, the output and sales shall go up compared to the fourth quarter of 2013.
