Companies are ranked based on a set of more than 20 criteria, ranging from the degree of vertical integration, cash cost, and energy efficiency to innovation, and sustainable development practices.
NLMK claims to be the largest steelmaker in Russia and one of the most efficient in the world. Its steel products are used in various industries, from construction and machine building to the manufacturing of power-generation equipment and offshore wind turbines.
The company operates production facilities in Russia, Europe and the United States and produces over 17Mt/yr.
