It was reported that China''s Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (JISCO) would take advantage of the cost advantages of self-produced molten iron and 400 series stainless steel, and cultivate martensitic stainless steel into a key specialty product.
In 2019, JISCO will continue to research and develop traditional martensitic chromium stainless steel and super martensitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, increasing the production of martensitic stainless steel, which was expected to increase to 15,000 tons and 20,000 tons in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
