It’s reported that the
Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel planned to purchase 1 million tons of hot rolled
coils (HRC) in 2014, including 300,000 tons from Japan.
It’s estimated
that Hyundai Steel might purchase 500,000 tons of HRC from its group companies;
200,000 tons from Posco and 300,000 tons from overseas markets.
At
present, Hyundai Steel mainly purchases from Japan’s JFE Steel and it’s
predicted that the company might buy 180,000~200,000 tons from JFE Steel in
2014.
