Reportedly, the Korean
steelmaker Hyundai Steel planned to raise its export price for H-beam and other
steel long products by US$20~US$30/ton for December shipments.
Hyundai
Steel has set export prices for December sales of based-sized H-beams at
US$710~US$720/ton CFR Singapore; those to American region are at
US$730~US$760/ton CFR and those to the Middle-East are at US$710/ton
CFR.
The company stated that it decided to prices for December due to
higher scrap prices from Japan and the US, and the increased electricity
charges.
