According to source said last Friday (September 1st), China’s Benxi Steel announced the company has suffered blast furnace explosion, the reason is caused by burning furnace wall damaged. As for details information till now is not clear and Taiwan traders do not receive any information about this accident.
Benxi Steel is the top 9 steel mills in China, the annual capacity is more than 10 million tons per year, No.1 blast furnace is equipped with 4,747 cubic meters, the daily steel production is about 4,000 to 5,000 tons, the monthly production output is about 150,000 tons.
There are four blast furnaces in Benxi steel, the total volume is 1,3047 cubic meters, and last year’s crude steel capacity amounted 14.4 million tons, after this accident on last Friday will cause a great concern in the market.
