South Korean hot-rolled manufacturers are expected to hold July market prices steady. Currently, Posco and Hyundai Steel and other steel mills are considering to adopt the calculation based on June prices level, without any change.
Because of concerning about the current weak demand which forces South Korean steel mills have to low their prices in order to compete with others.
In addition, the Hyundai Steel also appears unwilling to cut their prices and they preferred to jeep the prices stable.
It is understood that South Korean BF related industry said that if the cost of production is considered, it should be to increase the price of products, but because of the changes in the market, will be transferred to adopt a stable price policy.
