Money Control quoted Mr TV Narendran MD of TATA Steel as saying that the steel industry as a whole has done well in the last year. The government has helped the industry to deal with anti-dumping duties, but the imposition of minimum import prices has always been a temporary measure. Mr Narendran said that the impact of demonetisation is temporary and the economy will soon bounce back. He also hopes the GST Bill passes through swiftly. Its passage will bring efficiency into the company''s supply chain. He said that the steel industry as a whole has done well in the last year.
