The Pramet Penta HF high-feed cutter from Dormer Pramet can be used across various applications on multiple materials, including heat-treated and difficult-to-machine steels, stainless steels, and heat-resistant superalloys.
The cutter features internal coolant on body for deep-cavity milling and helical applications. The 19-degree lead with positive axial inclination requires less horsepower. Features include five cutting edge inserts; a surface finish that delivers corrosion resistance, reduced wear, and lower friction resistance; and polished inserts for high feed and differential pitch.
The positive axial rake cutter is suitable for lower-horsepower applications.
