According to Brazil Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade, in January this year, Brazil exported only 1000 tons of cold-rolled coil. The average export price was US$ 516/ton FOB, an increase of 23% month on month.
In January, Brazil cold rolled coil exports were low in recent years, reflects a variety of factors, including the manufacturer of blast furnace shut down, as well as international markets especially the United States and the European steel demand declined.
On the other hand, in January, Brazil imports of cold rolled coils increased 26% month on month to 8200 tons, the average price was US$418/ton FOB, down by 12% month on month.
