Taiwan's carbon steel wire rod, screw prices up- The 19th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, Wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

After China Steel Corp(CSC) decided to raise domestic wholesale product price, Taiwan’s wire rod and screw prices all went up.
The wire rod transaction price was up about NT$1,500/ton and screw transaction price was up by NT$0.5~1.0/kg.
The current CSC''s Al-killed wire rod price hiked to NT$20,200~20,500/ton; those for electric furnace Al-killed wire rod also increased to NT$19,300~19,500/ton. The Al-killed, blast furnace killed wire rod and electric furnace killed wire rod deal price from single re-rolling mill is about NT$20,000/ton, NT$19,500/ton and NT$18,500/ton, respectively.
Stimulated by the high raw material price, it is expected that the demand will start to grow.
