China's steel industry outlook more positive from the capacity restructure policy- The 18th China(Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, Wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

It is reported that China continued to improve the capacity restructure policy in steel industry, which has seen a significant outcome for this policy in past few months.
The capacity reduction achievement rates from all areas look positive, mills in China now focus more to enhance the quality rather than the quantity capacity. China reduce more than 65 million tons crude steel last year and target for another 50 million tons this year. Till this May, the target achievement rate had been up to 84.8% for more than 42.3 million tons.
Apart from reducing quantity, another focus is to demolish disqualified steel plants which also have a significant outcome. Major steel mills'' performance in the first four months of 2017 has seen positive profit which increased by 38.46%, much better than the same period of year 2016 for loss outcome. The figure reflects the steel industry is warming up from the previous cold market.
