Taiwanese hot rolled coil imports decline for May- The 18th China(Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, Wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

It is reported that Taiwan’s hot rolled coil imports were 51,434 tons for May, decreased by 31.4% compared with last month, the import quantity from Japan and Korea also declined, especially from South Korea fell double.
For the thickness under 3mm, the imports from Japan declined by 11% but the price rose at US$24.8/ton. For the thickness over 3mm, the imports quantity from Japan was 29,607 tons, decreased by 30.9% compared with last month, the price rose at US$5.6/ton.
Hot rolled coils imports from South Korea in May was only 615 tons compared with April’s 28,773 tons declined sharply, the price decreased about US$10/ton compared with last April.
