India’s hot-rolled coil prices have dropped for two weeks, but rebounded after the anti-dumping measures and safeguard tariff revision.
Mumbai, traders said, while new buying in the market remains stable, but import protection measures before the announcement, the prices downward pressure. Import protection collection also eliminate the possibility of domestic mills to lower the prices of hot rolled coils.
Furthermore, although the import protection measures combined to bring stability in the market, imported goods have been at a standstill, but whether it can be sustained at current prices still have doubts, because the current market volume remains low, but the local steel factory inventories are relatively high.
