Iran’s steel pipe demand remains weak due to lacking construction activity in local market. Iran’s welded pipe and seamless pipe prices continued at a low level.
The local wholesalers try to raise US$10/ton of steel pipe due to steel plate prices increase further. Currently, Iran domestic seamless pipe, thickness of 2 "-4", API 5L quotes at US$800~830/ton, the ex-factory price.
Market participants expect demand will remain weak in the short term, the market is unlikely to be any significant change at this moment.
