Strongsville, Ohio-based Rafter Equipment Corp. has completed a new RT-2000S HFI tube mill for shipment to a North American aluminized carbon/stainless steel tube producer. The mill is designed to produce tubing from 0.500 in. OD by 0.038 in. wall minimum to 2.000 in. OD by 0.120 in. wall maximum.
The mill includes a three-roll weld box design, a new tandem OD bead trimmer design, and an improved turkshead straightener design. Integrated components include entry/exit equipment, HFI welder, mill coolant system, high-speed shear cutoff, ID scarfing system, weld seam remetalizer, eddy current NDT equipment, and rust preventive spray applicator.
