Vyksa Steel Works has produced the first batch of 355.6 mm diameter pipes for oil and gas pipelines. The pipes are to be delivered to foreign clients.
The pipes, which have a wall thickness ranging from 5.6 mm to 12.5 mm, were produced on the modernized mill 203 to 530 in VSW’s third workshop. They were made from carbon steel grades produced by the Casting and Rolling Complex.
Mr Sergey Filippov MD of VSW said that “Launching a new range of pipes is another step towards a closer integration between the rolling and pipe facilities at CRC and VSW. Owing to a synchronized technological chain, we can promptly deliver the pipe products to our clients, meeting the most stringent requirements. This is especially important in the oil and gas pipes segment which is developing rapidly.”
