The latest freight fares to the American line will rise by US$2,000 by major shipping companies of Asia and Europe from February 15.
Starting on March 1, container shippers such as Evergreen and Yangming will raise their freight by US$2,000 again.
The main reason for the increase was due to the growing demand for exporting shipment, especially in Asia, where the Lunar New Year holiday has ended, and exporters were rushing to book container space.
