Main steel mills in central Taiwan may stop offering rebar price- The 18th China(Guangzhou ) Int’l tube & pipe Processing Equipment Exhibition

Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co, one of the major electric furnace mills in Taiwan, hiked its rebar price by NT$700/ton this week, and current rebar price has reached NT$15,000/ton.
The steel mills in southern Taiwan were not active this Monday; however, the buying sentiment and requirement in central and northern Taiwan were better than those in southern Taiwan.
According to the statement from the main steel mill in central Taiwan, the demand has improved this Monday. Nevertheless, it also considered that the raw materials might have affections on steel making. Therefore, it decided to lower the order volume which was expected to be within 20,000 tons.
Moreover, this steel mill might stop offering rebar today.
