New equipment of the butt-welding machine of the Japanese company Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation was delivered to the hot-dip galvanizing and aluminizing shop of ArcelorMittal Temirtau. The existing butt-welding machine "Verson" is designed for welding profiles in the range of 0.5-1.5 mm. To improve the operation of the equipment and the quality of the seams at the ANGA unit, it is planned to completely replace the butt-welding machine. Thanks to the new equipment, profiles will be welded with a thickness of 0.4 to 2 millimetres. Installation and assembly are scheduled for September this year. The duration of work on the replacement of the CCM is more than 30 days, the work is included in the schedule for the overhaul of the ANGA line.
The new butt-welding machine was manufactured by a specialized division of Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation, which is one of the world''s best manufacturers of equipment of this class.
