WBMS: Global nickel market facing supply shortage of 77,100 tons in Jan-Aug-The 21st China(Guangzhou) Int’l Forging Industry Exhibition

According to the report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), there was a supply shortage of 77,100 tons in the global nickel market during the period from January to August of this year, compared to the shortage of 102,900 tons in the previous year.
In the first 8 months of this year, the output of global refined nickel totaled around 1.52 million tons, and the demand was 1.6 million tons roughly. The global nickel production amounted to approximately 1.6 million tons, which increased by 68,000 tons compared to the same period last year. The global apparent demand was up by 67,000 tons year on year.
